Categories
Games are held at El Rey Polo Country Club, just a 23-minute drive from the Iberostar (daily transportation to/from provided). These natural grass fields are spread across 71,000+ yds², surrounded by lush jungle with a spectacular view of the polo club. Matches are played 7v7 with 30-minute halves. There will be one 11v11 division for Over 48 Men’s as well.
The level of play ranges from experienced-casual to experienced-competitive, with players typically aged 30 and up. Teams in all age groups are allowed 3 players, up to 3 years under age. This rule does NOT apply to the Men’s Over 60’s age group, which is strictly for 60+ year olds, including players turning 60 in 2027. Read below for more rules.

Teams are allowed to include up to 3 players who are a maximum of 3 years younger than the age limit of the age group.
**This rule does NOT apply for the 60+ Men’s age group
If the goalkeeper is up to 3 years younger, they also count as part of this exception and occupy one of the 3 allowed spots.
Note: All players must meet the age requirements of the age group in which they participate. Age is determined not by the exact birth date, but by the calendar year of birth. This means that a player must be or turn the required age for the age group before December 31 of the tournament year.
Example: if a player is 47 years old during the tournament but turns 48 at any time in 2027, they are eligible to play in the +48 age group.
This does NOT apply to the 3 players allowed under the “up to 3 years younger” exception. In those cases, players must have already reached the minimum required age at the time of the tournament.
Example: in the +48 age group, a player must have already turned 45 years old in order to participate as an exception player.
Games
Enjoy The Best Fields in Riviera Maya
Teams and players will primarily come from the USA, as well as Panama, Ecuador, Mexico, and Canada. Expect warm weather with tropical humidity, averaging highs in the mid-80s Fahrenheit (29–30°C). The field in Puerto Morelos includes an on-site locker room with bathrooms, and gear storage, along with shaded areas and water provided for players.
Activities & Itinerary (Tentative)
MORNING
Arrival at the Cancun International Airport. Transportation provided to Iberostar Playa Paraiso all-inclusive resort. Check-in and welcome drink. Receive your BA Cup welcome kit.
AFTERNOON
Settle into the Mexican oasis with a cold ceviche or spicy tacos at one of the hotel's 10 restaurants. Enjoy a free afternoon exploring all of the amenities the hotel has to offer.
NIGHT
BA Cup official welcome reception. Presentation of all the participating teams during a private dinner event with open bar, music, and special performances.
MORNING
Buffet breakfast. Transportation provided to Puerto Morelos for the 2nd day of the tournament.
AFTERNOON
Return to the hotel for lunch or embark on an excursion straight from the fields. Choose from horseback riding, zip-lining, ATV, or swimming in a cenote. Excursions include lunch and a Mayan show (extra cost).
NIGHT
Indulge in a steak night at the hotel's smoke house or Brazilian rodizio.
MORNING
Check-out and transportation provided to the airport. Journey home to your country filled with exciting memories and friendships.
MORNING
Buffet breakfast. Transportation provided to Puerto Morelos for the first day of the tournament. Represent your country in this international experience.
AFTERNOON
Return to the hotel for lunch and enjoy a well deserved swim in one of the hotel's many pools. After a short rest, don't forget to try out snorkeling or kayaking in the calm ocean water.
NIGHT
Dine at one of the a la carte restaurants. Choose from French, Brazilian, Mediterranean, Italian, or Japanese to fuel up before tomorrow's games. After dinner, have fun playing a round of mini-golf or enjoy a spectacular show at the hotel's theater.
MORNING
Buffet breakfast. Transportation provided to Puerto Morelos for the final day of competition. Awards ceremony with cups and medals for the finalists.
AFTERNOON
Return to the hotel for a final afternoon of relaxation and fund at the Iberostar Playa Paraiso all-inclusive resort.
NIGHT
Final dinner as a team, followed by a farewell party at the hotel's dance club.
